New Book Coming
I am extremely excited about the brand new book coming out by Trey Ratcliff called “A World in HDR.”  You still have a few days left to pre-order the new book and receive a limited edition numbered series print.  Click here for info on the book or go to Trey’s website – Stuck In Customs.

The Photograph
This photograph was taken in Tarangire National Park in Tanzania.  It was an overcast day and made for some great shots.  Tarangire is known for one of East Africa’s highest concentration of elephants.  We saw over 1000 elephants that day.  We had seen this particular herd from a distance.  We decided to wait to see what they would do.  I turned off the car engine, and we waited.  Shortly thereafter, the herd made its way right past our vehicle.  They were trumpeting and sniffing for our scent, because they had quite a few young ones with them.  It was an amazing experience.

On this particular photograph I used Topaz Adjust and Topaz Details to bring out the texture of their skin and the fantastic sky in the background.
